The predecessor of the group is Hebei Fishery School Feed and Drug Additives Factory (1986), which is a school-run enterprise, founded by Professor Song Youth (former vice president of Hebei Fishery School, dean of the Marine College of Hebei Agricultural University, master's degree tutor, senior engineer), and mainly produces aquatic premix and aquatic drug additives.

In 1993, Professor Song's research project ‘Application of Photosynthetic Bacteria in Fish, Shrimp and Shellfish Breeding’ was appraised by Hebei Provincial Science and Technology Commission as the first person to complete the scientific and technological achievements, with the provincial registration number: 930101. In the same year, the project was appraised by Hebei Provincial Bureau of Animal Husbandry and Fisheries as the First Prize of Scientific and Technological Advancement. In 1998, Professor Song's research project ‘Nile tilapia all-male breeding technology’ was awarded the Third Prize of Scientific and Technological Progress by the Science and Technology Review Committee of Qinhuangdao Municipality. Certificate No. 98341.

In 1999, the scientific research project ‘Development and Application of New Drug Ecklintide in Aquaculture’ by Prof. Song Youth, Prof. Chen Xiumin and Prof. Yue Shuqin was awarded the Certificate of Scientific and Technological Achievement of Hebei Province. In 2000, because of the merger of Hebei Fishery School and Hebei Agricultural University, it was renamed as Feed Drug Additives Factory of Marine College of Hebei Agricultural University. In the same year, Prof Song was appointed as the dean of the Marine College of Hebei Agricultural University.

In 2002, Prof Song wrote a paper on ‘Research on the prevention and control of streptococcus in tilapia by bacteriophage’, which was awarded the Third Prize of Aquatic Science and Technology Paper of 2002 by Hebei Fisheries Society. In the same year, Prof Song was included in China Fishery Yearbook published by China Agricultural Publishing House.

In 2003, ‘Standardised Production Technology of Marine Fish’ and ‘Standardised Aquaculture Technology of Seaweed’ written by Prof. Chen Xiumin were published by China Agricultural University Press.

Ltd. was registered and established in Shijiazhuang in 2006. In the same year, Prof Song was appointed by the Ministry of Agriculture as the quality supervisor of agricultural vocational skills appraisal.

In 2007, the veterinary medicine was upgraded to the national standard due to the local standard, Hebei Haohai Biotechnology Co., Ltd. moved to the harbour area of Qinhuangdao City and started construction, and passed the GMP acceptance of the Ministry of Agriculture successfully in December.

In 2008, Hebei Haohai Bio-technology Co., Ltd. was selected by Qinhuangdao Municipal Government to join ‘Qinhuangdao Harvest Enterprise Promotion Centre’ and became a member of Qinhuangdao Harvest Enterprise Promotion Centre. In July of the same year, Prof. Song youth ‘bonded with aquatic products, no regrets to choose’ was published in the 7th issue of the world agriculture as the first cover character. In September of the same year, Professor Song was appointed by the Ministry of Labour and Social Security as a senior assessor (No. 08470310207) for national vocational skills appraisal.

In 2010, ‘Aquatic Animal Nutrition and Complementary Feed Science’ edited by Prof Song was designated as the national planning textbook for the 11th Five-Year Plan of General Higher Education. It was published by China Agricultural University Press.

In 2013, Hebei Haohai Biotechnology Co., Ltd. successfully passed the GMP re-inspection of the Ministry of Agriculture for the first time.

In 2014, Cangzhou Meixin Biotechnology Co., Ltd, a subsidiary of the Group, was registered and put into production in Cangzhou. In October of the same year, Professor Song was awarded the patent of ‘A method of manufacturing microbial antibiotics from sugar-containing wastewater’, Patent No.: ZL 2014 1 0586338.X. In June of the same year, the Ministry of Agriculture of the People's Republic of China conferred a certificate of veterinary practice on Professor Song and Professor Chen Xiumin. In June of the same year, the Ministry of Agriculture of the People's Republic of China awarded Professor Song Youth and Professor Chen Xiumin the qualification certificates of licensed veterinarians.

In 2015, ‘Aquatic Animal Nutrition and Complementary Feeding’ edited by Professor Song Youth was designated as the 12th Five-Year Plan Teaching Material of the Ministry of Agriculture of the People's Republic of China. "Planning Textbook of Ministry of Agriculture.

In 2016, the project of Hebei Haohai Biotechnology Co., Ltd, ‘Research and Application of Key Technology of Herbal Prevention and Control of Major Bacterial Diseases in Factory Farmed Fish’ was awarded by the People's Government of Hebei Province as ‘Second Prize of Hebei Provincial Mountainous Area Entrepreneurship Prize’, Certificate No.: JS2016209. In 2017, Hebei Haohai Biotechnology Co., Ltd. was awarded as ‘Hebei Quality and Integrity AAA Brand Enterprise’ by China Small and Medium Enterprises Famous Brand Cultivation Working Committee.

In July 2018, our subsidiary Nanjing Jingchen Biotechnology Co., Ltd. was registered in Nanjing, and in September 2018, Hebei Haohai Biotechnology Co., Ltd. became a member unit of Qinhuangdao High-tech Industry Association and was awarded as ‘AAA Grade Contract and Trustworthy Enterprise’. In December of the same year, Hebei Haohai Biotechnology Co., Ltd. passed the GMP re-inspection of the Ministry of Agriculture for the second time.
