Pharmacology Florfenicol is a broad-spectrum aminoglycoside antibiotic, a bacteriostatic agent, that exerts its effect by binding to the 50S subunit of ribosomes and inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis. It has strong antibacterial activity against a variety of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. Haemophilus parasuis, Pasteurella multocida, and Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae are highly sensitive to florfenicol. In vitro, the antibacterial activity of florfenicol against many microorganisms is similar to or stronger than that of thiamphenicol. Some bacteria that are resistant to aminoglycosides due to acetylation, such as Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae, may still be sensitive to florfenicol. Main uses It is mainly used for bacterial diseases in pigs, chickens, and fish caused by sensitive bacteria, such as respiratory diseases in cattle and pigs caused by Haemophilus parasuis, Pasteurella multocida, and Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae; typhoid and paratyphoid fever caused by Salmonella; fowl cholera, pullorum disease, and Escherichia coli infections; and bacterial septicemia, enteritis, and red skin disease in fish caused by Pasteurella spp., Vibrio spp., Staphylococcus aureus, Aeromonas hydrophila, and Enterobacteriaceae. Pharmacokinetics Florfenicol is rapidly absorbed after oral administration, reaching therapeutic concentrations in the blood after about 1 hour and peak plasma concentrations after 1-3 hours. Bioavailability is over 80%. Florfenicol is widely distributed in the animal body and can cross the blood-brain barrier. It is mainly excreted unchanged in the urine, with a small amount excreted in the feces.
相互作用：
(1) Macrolides and lincosamides share the same target site with this product, binding to the 50S subunit of bacterial ribosomes. Concurrent use may result in antagonism. (2) May antagonize the bactericidal activity of penicillins or aminoglycosides, but this has not yet been demonstrated in animals.
作用用途：
Amidinohydroxy antibiotics. Used for infections caused by Pasteurella and Escherichia coli.
不良反应：
This product has some immunosuppressive effects when used at doses higher than recommended.
注意事项：
(1) Chickens laying eggs for human consumption should not be used during the laying period. (2) Use with caution in breeding chickens. It has embryonic toxicity, so use with caution in pregnant and lactating livestock. (3) Prohibited for animals during vaccination period or those with severely impaired immune function. (4) Animals with renal insufficiency need to appropriately reduce the dosage or extend the dosing interval.
